I read something last night that was sent to me by the Harford County health Department because of my loss of my baby girl Lucy. They sent me a Mother's Day card and other information about grief groups. they also sent me a paper that stated the history of Mother's Day. I was surprised to learn that Mother's Day was not created by a mother but by a woman who had no children. She created the day to honor her own mother who had lost seven of her 11 children in their early childhood.
Today is my first Mother's Day as a mother of two children. In his card to me, Jamie thanked me for making him a big brother.
The only thing I really want this mother's day and every day is for people to recognize me as a mother of two children. And if I am blessed with a third, please know that baby will be just that... Baby number 3.
Jesus thank you so much for my children, Jamie and Lucy.
Beautifully said! Happy Mother's Day Erin =)
ReplyDeleteThank you for your sweet comment on my blog. I read your story and feel your pain as well. It's a strange club to be a member of, isn't it? Lucy is just beautiful and I'd like to think she is playing happily on Jesus' lap along with my Micah. Anyhow, I just wanted to let you know that I am praying for you and your family. God bless!
