The Return of Summer and....

my former life..
Our dear good friends, The Denny Family, blessed us with an amazing 4 day vacation in Ocean City thanks to Gram and Pop Pop Denny!  On Wednesday evening The Lewis girls, Denny Family (minus the Denny Daddy) and the Gaeng Family (minus the Gaeng Daddy) headed to OC!  We arrived later than we wanted because I was about an hour and a half late!  (Big surprise!!!!!)  But of course everyone was still happy to see Jamie and me and we were all super duper excited to get the party started!!!!!

When we arrived, all the babies went to bed and we stayed up out on the ocean front balcony eating amazing food from Wegman's and catching up.

The next day was warm and sunny, just like a summer!  AH-MAZING!!!!!!  We spent the day on the beach and I made chicken casserole for dinner.

On  Friday morning I made the most fantastic breakfast ever ;) and then Jamie and I headed out on our bike to the boardwalk.  I am not an OC fan in the summer, but oh, wow in the fall it is heavenly!  Jamie and I rode the entire length of the boardwalk on the bike and stopped to play on the basically deserted beach.  Jamie and I also called GaGa so she could log on to the Kite Loft web cam and see us live on the boardwalk.  SOOO FUN!!!  Jill and her girlies met us on the boardwalk and we ransacked the Candy Kitchen.  BOOOOO YEAH!!!!!  We headed back and hit the beach for the rest of the afternoon.

Saturday brought cooler weather, but beautiful nonetheless.  Team Lewis had gone home Friday night and Daddy Denny rolled in that morning.  We headed to the boardwalk to do everything possible.

We had walked there and decided to take the bus back since we were at the inlet and had to rock it all the back to 34th street.  We had tacos for dinner (ain't no night like no taco night!)

On Sunday we rocked Assateague.  The ponies were in full swing and so were the surfers.  In fact all morning long we sat on the balcony of the condo and watched tons and tons of surfers.  The waves were perfectly amazing, but it was sooo stinkin' cold out.  It was really neat to sit watch though!

The vacation could not have come at a better time.  My life has been turned upside down in so many ways.  The stress of the past few weeks has brought me to tears many times and I had been largely keeping to myself.  It was so nice to be with my girls and to know how much they deeply care about me.
