Hands-on House!

This has got to be one of the neatest places I have ever taken Jamie!  Aunt Sarah, Bubba, Jamie and I headed up to Lancaster this week to check it out. The drive was a little out of control. It took us almost 2 hours to get there, but it was worth it and we will go back! It was only $7 to get in and the boys had a blast. Afterward we went to Oregon Dairy to eat and play. They had a buffet so I was happy (even though there were no characters!) It was super fun to hang out with my cousin (and the babies of course!)
Working at the "Quarry"

Off to the "Farm"
learning how a cow is milked!
Bubba collecting chicken eggs! (Jamie was scared of the "chickens")

Harvest the corn..........................................................Feed the pig!
Jamie is yelling "Combine harvester!!!"  I presume he will be a farmer when he grows up.

"Do it yourself face painting" I attempted to paint a butterfly on Jamie's hand.

Bubba about to ring the door bell!  It made all knids of sounds, a thunderstorm, a dog barking, a cat meowing...

The "Grocery Store"  This was Jamie's favorite I think.  Very cute!

Picking out "produce"

Shopping for "dry goods"

Checking out

They even had little shopping lists!  So fun!

"Safari Pirates"

Some kind of neato light board.

Off to work at the "Factory"

Jamie was so into this.  He followed all the directions to build his "watchyamacallit."

"Aunt Sarah I know baby miller is giving you a blinding headache right now but can you hold me anyway?"

They had a little drop in class all about wind-up toys.  Jamie thought it was pretty cool!

He is waiting for this pop up toy to...well, pop up!!!

I assume this is why he now has a cold!

And we were off to Mr. McGregor's Garden!!!!

Peter and Bubba!

  2. I cannot believe that you really went to Mr. Mcgregors garden!! That would be my dream. Did you by chance see Squirrel Nutkin? My favorite is Jamie laying on the ground waiting for the pop up toy! What an awesome place!
